Pedro Schwartz obtained the position to enter the Diplomatic Career and was denied access, back in the fifties of the last century, due to his disaffection with the regime in force at the time. Nevertheless, he has never ceased to defend the flag of freedom, even when he was almost always in the minority. He is convinced that it is ideas, and not capital, that generate wealth and move the world like a powerful engine that is only slowed down by the impositions of the State. We talked to him about his conception of liberalism in a new series of interviews for New Direction.
